The story
A home shaped
around what mattered.
The Hearth is a modern cabin retreat that surrounds and incorporates an existing stone cabin. Rather than erase the history of the site, the design carries its character forward—bringing the old structure and new living spaces into one cohesive home.

- Approach
- Preservation + new construction
Past made present
Character was the starting point.
Natural stone, warm wood, and restrained finishes allow the original cabin to remain present throughout the home. New spaces feel current without losing the texture and permanence that made the property special.
Inside The Hearth
Connected to the land.
Designed for living.
The result
A retreat with roots.
The finished home feels settled into its setting: open to the landscape, grounded by stone, and ready for a new generation of memories.
